Michael K. Farr is President and majority owner of Farr, Miller & Washington, LLC. He is Chairman of the Investment Committee and is responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of the firm. Under his leadership, the firm has grown to over six hundred million dollars in assets, and has enjoyed solid returns since inception in 1996. Prior to starting FM&W, he spent six years with Alex. Brown & Sons, where he was a Principal. Mr. Farr is a graduate of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.
Preceding his move back to Washington, D.C. to join Mr. Kimsey’s staff and that of the Foundation, Mr. Fox was a Tax Consulting Manager at Ernst & Young LLP in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he worked for five years. Mr. Fox earned a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Miami, and he achieved a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Maryland. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, and Certified Financial Planner.
Mr. Fox maintains a home in Washington, D.C.
