Michael C. Fox, CPA, CFP®

Michael Fox is responsible for managing the business operations of Farr, Miller & Washington, on a day-to-day basis. Before joining the firm in 2003, he was the Director of Finance for James V. Kimsey and the Kimsey Foundation. For the office of Mr. Kimsey and the Kimsey Foundation, Mr. Fox developed and implemented an accounting structure and designed financial statements. He oversaw development of budgets and cash flow planning, while monitoring investments and performance for both entities. His duties also included development of investment policy for the Foundation. Mr. Fox also fulfilled a human resource role for each office.

Preceding his move back to Washington, D.C. to join Mr. Kimsey’s staff and that of the Foundation, Mr. Fox was a Tax Consulting Manager at Ernst & Young LLP in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he worked for five years.

Mr. Fox earned a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Miami, and he achieved a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Maryland. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner.
Mr. Fox maintains a home in Washington, D.C.
